Selamat Datang!
Apa Khabar?

After a few months of idleness, I'm back to writing. Here's a fresh post to kickstart your Pisan Zapra Journey in 2025 and start planning your next adventure in SEA.

From the spiritual island of Bali to the fantastic nightlife in Bangkok, the concrete jungle of Singapore to the pristine shorelines of the Philippines, the Majestic Angkor Wat in Cambodia, and many more. Southeast Asia is a region of incredible diversity. Whether you prefer sandy beaches or sprawling urban landscapes, there's always something for everyone. On this magnificent land, you are bound to have endless adventures.

With a combined total of 137 Million arrivals in 2019 before the pandemic, Southeast Asia is definitely the best place to spend your holiday with unlimited sun, sea, and sand. This powerhouse region is not just an important hub of the world economy but also a hub for world-class tourism. I would rather not talk about anything economics (I promise). But a must-visit destination to cure all your wild wonders and beyond.

When we talk about Southeast Asia, which country immediately comes to your mind?

How about Bali?

You must be joking! 😛 Bali is not a country but rather one of the many islands in Indonesia. In fact, Indonesia is much larger than that and boasts over 18,000 beautiful islands.

I've heard that Bali is lovely. Have you considered visiting other parts of Indonesia?

Thailand?

Ah! The perfect destination for summer vacation. All the mouth-watering Thai street food and the love for Thai gentle massage.

Not to forget their nightlife and party culture, the Thais just know how to do it right!

Or perhaps Singapore?

The most advanced country in all of ASEAN, home to modern architecture and stunning hybrid concrete jungles surrounded by nature. And let's not forget about their world-renowned airport, Changi International.

As a traveller, who doesn't want to explore new places? We love travelling and going to new places. The prospect of seeing things you have never seen before is so exciting that it makes our hearts skip a beat. Happiness overload!

But what if I tell you of another wondrous destination that is full of wonders and hospitable people but seems less popular on the radar of most travellers? The winds often passes by many travellers because they don't hear much about it despite the fact that the country itself is one of the top 20 destinations in the world.

You may have heard whispers of this Southeast Asian country but aren't quite sure how to start exploring it. It's not shocking that many people have a hard time identifying this country on the atlas. Sharing borders between Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, and Thailand,

Malaysia is a hidden gem that rarely appears on the map. Now, it's the perfect opportunity to embark on an adventure and immerse yourself in the captivating world of "Malaysia Truly Asia!”

Malaysia Truly Asia?

What's it all about?

This tourism slogan has sparked more debates than your outspoken uncle at Thanksgiving dinner. And honestly, you don't need to think too hard to see why it might have seemed like a bit of an exaggeration (unless, of course, you're feeling generous – because, let's be real, everyone deserves a second chance, except maybe that terrible ex!). But, you know what? Let’s give it a chance, how truly Asia is Malaysia?

But before we dive in deeper, take a moment to savour this cliché tourism ad. Just a friendly disclaimer: I can't be held responsible for any unexpected "falling in love" declarations. Remember, I'm not here to encourage you to plan a visit – quite the opposite, actually. I'm here to tell you to run while you still can.
